The Team

Margaret Mokhnyuk
Founder & CEO
Hey, my name is Margaret Mokhnyuk and I'm half Ukranian and half Belorussian. I'm a senior at Palmetto high school, and I lead a recycling club and run track. I also tutor Ukrainian refugees in English and dedicate myself to helping refugees elsewhere. I decided to start SustainLife Corp. to help suffering Ukrainians receive support and a glimpse of hope. I also enjoy tutoring others and wanted to get to know more about Manatee's community upon moving here in 2023. My goal is to tutor and donate as much as possible to help current generations of Ukrainian children and remind them that they hold an important place in society.
Ella Meyer
Co-Vice President & Reading Tutor
Hi! My name is Ella Meyer and I am a senior at Lakewood ranch high school. I have lived in manatee county my whole life and have volunteered as a TA at many different schools from the time I was 13. I have a deep passion for teaching love encouraging kids to want to learn and I hope I can do so through this amazing nonprofit. My goal is to help kids of all age enjoy learning and gain confidence in any subject they may be struggling in while also helping and providing for those in need.

Lily Fano
Co-Vice President & Admin
Hi! My name is Lily Fano and I'm a senior at Palmetto Highschool. I decided to join this nonprofit organization because I want to help those living in harsh conditions. I weightlift at Palmetto and enjoy snowboarding back in California. I would like to help the less fortunate because of the awful things they see and go through. We have the ability to make an impactful change and I would like to help refugees feel more at home by providing them with basic necessities.
Dakota Fano
Artist & Secretary
Hi! My name is Dakota Fano and I'm a sophomore at Palmetto Highschool. I run cross country at Palmetto and compete for swim in my free time. I decided to join this nonprofit because I'm passionate about helping Ukrainians and want to help all of my friends achieve their goals. I know there's people who can't afford to have access to important items and I want to make sure everyone knows how much they're loved. I believe everyone should have opportunities with necessities not limiting them from achieving their goals.

Mai Nguyen
Media Manager & Math Tutor
Hi! My name is Mai, and I am now a senior at Palmetto High School. I’m from Vietnam, and having to transition to learn in a different country and language has pushed me out of my comfort zone, which has taught me a lot of perseverance. Building this program will allow a more inclusive environment for students to enhance their learning. I firmly believe that all students are capable of academic success, but there are limited non-profit opportunities out there. Therefore, our goal is to provide fun, comfortable and accessible learning for those in need, no matter where you started.
Johnny Outlaw
EOC/History Tutor & Donations Rep.
Hey, my name is Johnny Outlaw and I go to Palmetto High School. I’m enrolled in Palmetto’s Aice Program. I have chosen to be a part of this special organization to continue service to the unfortunate refugees and displaced persons of war whom some have seen firsthand. I aim to provide people - with taken for granted human necessities.
I love History and Jesus!
