Refugee Camp - Aiding Brutal Conditions
One of our tutors, Johnny Outlaw, visited Germany on a mission trip with First Baptist Church. There he visited a refugee camp called Efrigen-Kirchen, which mainly housed refugees from North Macedonia and Ukrainian refugees. North Macedonia has the worst standards of living in the entirety of Europe. Ukraine has the highest mortality rate in Europe. We will be raising funds to gift them in the form of gift cards so they can purchase their necessities. At the camp, many children were illiterate because of the difficulty of learning German and continuous displacement. Refugees need feminine products, diapers, food and water. We would also like to make their days with toys. Children that don't speak the same language, happily played with broken rackets. Even when experiencing such a harsh environment, the children still smiled.
Johnny's Testimonial of the German Refugee Camp:

It wasn’t good; it sucked. It made me feel very fortunate for the conditions that exist here in America, but disappointed in the treatment the people have been regulated to.
